Proximity switches for use in industrial applications
(b) - Followed by -1 thru -9, -010, -020, -030, -502, -503, -900 thru -999.
Note - Alternate format: The first five digits remain the same, followed by a dash, then four numbers or letters representing the sensor characteristics, each separated by a dash. Number 1 is a single digit representing the switch type: 1 = 010 (standard normally open switch), 2 = 020 (standard, pressurized normally open A switch), 3 = 030 (standard change over switch), 4 = 040 (standard normally closed switch). Numbers from 5 to 9 are reserved for other UL approved switches, such as a different version of the normally open switch. Number 2 is a letter representing the switch sensitivity: S = 12-18 Ampere-turns, T = 17-23, U = 22-28, V = 27-33. Other letters are reserved for future custom sensitivity ranges. Number 3 is a 2 digit number representing standard UL approved wire or cable lengths: 01 = 100 mm, 02 = 300 mm, 03 = 500 mm, 04 = 750 mm, 05 = 1000 mm. 06 to 99 are reserved for other (custom) cable lengths. Number 4 is a letter representing the UL recognized termination type: This may vary with the sensor type. Examples are: A = tinned leads, B = Crimped terminals, C = 6.35mm Fastons, D = AMP MTE 2.54 mm pitch, E = JST XHP 2.5 mm pitch, etc.
