Rating | 105 deg C, 600 Vac, Horizontal flame. |
Conductor | 18AWG - 12 AWG, stranded. |
Insulation | Extruded TPE, skimalr to Type SPE except employoing 30 mils min average, 27 mils minimum at any point. |
Heating Element | Heating Element - Nichrome, copper alloy or other suitable resistance wire is spirally wound around the insulation; the AWG size of wire, number of turns, length between contact with the copper conductor are dependent upon the wattage demand and the voltage used to energize the cable. |
Assembly | Two concuctors. The cord is prepared for the spiral wound heating Assemblyelement by carefully removing the insulation along the length of the cord so as to bare the conductor for approx 1/2 in widths at periodic intervals. A spirally wound nichrome or other type of resistance wire is then carefully wound the length of the cord. By varying the distance between contacts with the conductors, the number of turns per inch of resistance wire and the AWG size (resistance) of the spirally wound wire, different wattages per foot per service voltage can be obtained. |
Jacket | Extruded TPE, 40 mils min average, 32 mils minimum at any point. |
