Style 20071 Jacketed Cable

Rating200 deg C, 600 Vac, Horizontal flame.
Conductor18 AWG - 12 AWG stranded.
InsulationPTFE, TFE, 10 mils min average, 9 mils minimum at any point.
AssemblyTwo insulated conductors are laid parallel with an overall bonded 4 mil min at any point wall of PTFE tape to form a SPT style cord. This cord is now prepared for the spiral wound heating element. This is done by care- fully removing the insulation along the length of the cord so as to bare the copper conductor for approx 1/2 in widths at periodic intervals. A spirally wound nichrome or other type of resistance wire is then carefully wound the length of the cord. By varying the distance between contacts with the conductors, the number of turns per inch of resistance wire and the AWG size (resistance) of the spirally wound wire, different wattages per foot per service voltage can be obtained. Over the resistance wire are two bonded Polyimide tapes, a fiberglass braid and three bonded Polyimide tapes.
ShieldOptional.
JacketTwo bonded Polyimide tapes with a combined min thickness at any point of 7 mils, a fiberglass braid and three bonded Polyimide tapes with a combined min thickness at any point of 8 mils.
Misc.Heating Element - Nichrome, copper alloy or other suitable resistance wire is spirally wound around the insulation; the AWG size of wire, number of turns, length between contact with the copper conductor are dependent upon the wattage demand and the voltage used to energize the cable.
