InsulationXLPE, 30 mils min average, 27 mils minimum at any point. See Facing Page.
AssemblyConsists of 2 conductors described above laid flat with an overall shield and jacket.
ShieldCopper braid consisting of bare copper or metal coated copper. Combination of strand size and number of strands such that braid is equivalent to 18 AWG.
CoveringOptional. Extruded Nylon, thickness 3 mils, plus or minus 1 mil.
JacketPVC, 20 mils min average, 16 mils minimum at any point.

Use"XLPE Insulated Resistance Wire for Heating Cable Units where exposed to temperatures not exceeding 90 deg. C; moisture resistant 60 deg. C". The conductor alloy designation shall be included ohms per foot rating. (Optional Marking).
