InsulationLabeled or complying with Manufacturer's AWM Procedure. The voltage rating of any of the single insulated conductors in a group shall not be less than the voltage rating printed on the surface of the PVC jacket covering that group.
AssemblyThree groups of individually insulated conductors cabled together to forming a Flat Cable. The length of lay of the twisted conductors is not specified. Fillers may be used in a cable but are not required. A barrier layer, if employed, may be a fibrous wrap serving, or braid; paper; nylon; oriented polyethylene terephthalate; or thermoplastic tape wrap. The barrier may be applied over the twisted assembly of individual conductors, groups of conductors or individual conductors. Uninsulated conductors may be cabled in with insulated conductors for grounding.
