Assembly | Consists of two conductors covered with three layers of oriented polyethylene terephthalate tape; each layer backed with a 1 mil polyester adhesive. The first layer of tape, 1 mil thick, is longitudinally and separately applied over each conductor, leaving an approximate 1/16 inch spacing between the edges of tape. The two conductors are then laid parallel with a polyester fibrous thread laid between the two conductors. A second tape, 1 mil thick, is applied to this assembly covering the spacings formed by the first tape. The third layer of tape, two mils thick, is then wrapped longitudinally around the assembly so that the separation of approximately 1/16 inch is centered over the fibrous thread and second layer of tape. |
