Style 4163 Multiple-conductor cable using non-integral jacket

Rating60 deg C, 300 Vac.
ConductorSix tinsel threads stranded with rope lay around a No. 10 three-ply cotton thread at nominally 2.5 turns per inch. Each tinsel consists of two 37 AWG flattened conductor strands to nominal 0.0009 by 0.018 inch and spiraled concentrically around a core of No. 20, three-ply cotton threads. The conductor resistance per linear foot of cord length shall be 0.28 ohms maximum.
InsulationExtruded SRB/NR, 15 mils minimum average thickness, 13 mils minimum thickness at any point.
AssemblyThree conductors, same as type SV Cord, but with a lay of twist opposite in direction to the direction in which the helical cord is wound.
JacketExtruded Neoprene, 30 mils minimum average thickness, 24 mils minimum thickness at any point. The cord is vulcanized while coiled in a helical shape on a mandrel. When the helix is stretched out and released, the cord returns to its helical form because of the elasticity of the jacket.
