Conductor | Solid copper alloy conductor, dia. 7 mils min. average, and 6.5 mils min. at any point. The conductor is wound spirally at a rate of 44 to 50 turns per inch around a fiber glass core for approx. 6 inches. The number of turns per inch is then decreased to between 6 and 2 for a distance of approx. 3-1/2 inches. The conductor is then wound back over the last 3-1/2 inches at a rate of between 6 and 2 turns per inch. The direction of winding is again reversed, and the conductor is wound at a rate of between 6 and 2 turns per inch for approx. 3/4 inches. The number of turns per inch is then increased to 44 to 50 turns per inch. The pattern repeats itself throughout the length of the wire. |
